Frequently Asked Questions

Root Canal Treatment

Why might a tooth need root canal treatment?

Deep decay, cracks, trauma, or previous dental procedures may inflame or infect tissue inside a tooth. Clinical testing and imaging help determine whether treatment is indicated.

Can I chew on the tooth afterward?

Avoid heavy chewing on the treated tooth until it has received the restoration recommended by your dentist.

Endodontic Retreatment

Why can a previously treated tooth become symptomatic?

Complex anatomy, leakage, new decay, a crack, or persistent disease may contribute. The cause must be evaluated before retreatment is recommended.

Laser-Assisted Micro-Surgery

What does laser-assisted mean?

Laser energy may complement selected surgical steps when clinically appropriate. Its role, alternatives, and limitations are reviewed for the individual case.

Technology

Does every patient need 3D imaging?

No. It is considered when additional anatomical information may help answer a specific diagnostic or treatment-planning question.

After Treatment

When should I contact the office?

Contact the office for severe or increasing discomfort, visible swelling, a reaction to medication, an uneven bite, loss of a temporary restoration, or returning symptoms.

Scheduling

Is a consultation request a confirmed appointment?

No. An appointment is confirmed only after the practice contacts you and coordinates a date and time.

New Patient Forms

Secure digital intake forms will be added after the practice communication system is finalized. Please do not send medical, dental, insurance, or other sensitive information through ordinary email.

Post-Treatment Care

01

After Root Canal Treatment

Temporary tenderness may occur. Follow medication directions, avoid heavy chewing, maintain gentle oral hygiene, and arrange the recommended final restoration or crown.

02

After Endodontic Retreatment

The tooth may feel different while surrounding tissues settle. Protect temporary restorations, follow medication and eating instructions, and call if symptoms increase.

03

After Laser-Assisted Micro-Surgery

Follow procedure-specific instructions for activity, diet, hygiene, and medication. Contact the office for increasing swelling, persistent bleeding, fever, medication reaction, or other concerns.

Your individual instructions take priority. Seek urgent medical attention for difficulty breathing or swallowing or rapidly expanding swelling.
